It's June. We received funding for the part-time gig. And this time it's fully focused on what I want to do (career-wise) and there's no major writing component. I do want to do a writing contract again but I'm happy that this year, I won't have to deal with that type of stress.
The full two months of entrepreneur time went by in a flash. I was dealing with some part-time requests, taxes and other things so it never felt like it was full time to focus on my biz but good to have less distractions. I never heard back from either my E.D. or local partner about my (brave) expansion ideas but still happy I sent it out. And maybe it's helping to percolate for new things to come. I've already been to two local partners and it just feels RIGHT. I think that email and also a few frank conversations with friends also helped me to be more honest in conversations with my local partner and I feel much more stable about what we are delivering here this year and our future collaborations.
The priorities still are: products, marketing for launch, guest posts and other promotion opportunities, and updating website for these new products.
To help with this I've: contacted my old web designer (she's busy) so have approached a local business but no response there yet. I may have another I can approach. I've also signed up for business coaching which I think is really going to unlock things for me. I also have DONE TWO GUEST POSTS (and have been asked to do another and am ready to approach a third person (blog) to see if I can do a guest post for them!) And I finally have connected with an online entrepreneur friend and a local entrepreneur friend. And it feels right with the two of them, as I was thinking there could be more there, and then just like that they both stepped up and asked for more. Yay!
Let's step it up and start my first two incredible sweet products and release them into the world this year! It's time to be brave. xo
