what's what: monday morning check in!

WEEK 106 - POST 1

Last week I ended on a bad note.  And Friday wasn't great as I had an appointment downtown so it messed up my scheduling.  I was also hoping that this one group would share my blog post (they did it last year and it really helped with getting my blog seen by more people) but this year they didn't.  So all week, I was checking to see if they "reshared" and was focused on this instead of better things!

UGH.

It's always better to be pleasantly surprised by someone resharing rather than hoping that they will and being disappointed.  (Bad manifestation practice.)

OK.  It's Monday.  Lessons learned.  (Never again - maybe do the post - but don't expect ANYTHING.)

Other lessons learned:

- My body needs to be supported much more!  I cannot do one fixed activity for hours.  Not only sitting at the office, I also spent too much time in my garden this weekend - lifting and moving and crouched and oh my body is suffering (both knees, one ankle, one achilles, one shoulder and one wrist - and some were hurting before I gardened so only aggravated those.  ugh!!) .  So from now on: 30 minutes of gardening (or other similar activities) a day rather than all on one day.  No more than 30 minutes.  xo

- My mind/happiness needs more support also!  I have been spending too much time on GFC - especially overextending myself in terms of helping others (when their support staff should be doing this).  Goals here are: 1) connect with current friends (and current activity circles!), 2) connect with people in regard to nature, 3) help others within new time parameter. (I'm thinking that each time I get online, I help in one situation and each time I connect with someone new re: nature, I should help in two situations or welcome three people.  No More Than That Though.  xo

What I need is more quality time for myself (reading, creative art, getting outside, fun movie) and more quality time being present and connecting (more body pampering, more connecting with loved ones, more care for the house, etc)

I'm writing these two (more personal) things here in my entrepreneur journal as it's really important to take care of my body during the day and I need to have a better balance of my personal time (especially when it blends in with my entrepreneur time - like GFC) so that I can come to work in a good place!  So I really need to keep this in mind during the day while I work!!

What's Inspiring You This Week: I felt so bad about the sore muscles last night (beating myself up because I should have known better) but now I can see it as another lesson.  Obviously I didn't "know better" or I would have done something different.  It really feels like I'm able to GET the LESSON quicker.  I am so inspired by this!!  xo

Where Are you Stuck This Week: Trying to change habits at the "office".  My husband helped me set up my office better on Sunday night (ergonomics) and I ordered a new keyboard, mouse and mouse pad.  I don't want my body to suffer more because of bad ergonomics.  This will be a hard transition - lots of bad habits (sitting too long in one position, sitting in a bad position, forcing myself to sit at the desk because I'm behind (especially in the afternoons I feel like I'm always playing catch up) and just improper form (back not straight, wrists overextended).  So I'm stuck because I need to focus on this AND get work done.  Let's see if I can do it!!  xo

What Is The Message You Need To Hear: You ARE doing it!  You are so lucky to be able to work at home, where you can get up every 30 minutes and stretch and use a tennis ball under your chair, or even change positions and try a standing desk.  You have the Pomodoro and can set the timer.  You have the water at your desk.  It may "feel" like you are stuck but you are not stuck at all.  Things are changing quickly for you and you are really open to seeing the lesson and forgiving quicker and getting back at it.  This my dear is resilience!!  Woohoo!!

What Will You Commit To For This Week: Keep doing what I'm doing.  I have a business coach session tomorrow.  I have two outdoor meetings (which means I'm not stuck in my chair all day).  No gardening this week to let my body heal (and you are using aloe vera - yay!!).  I'm meeting a fellow entrepreneur on Thursday - let's go early and work on my laptop!  And I'm sending something I created (free giveway PDF) to another entrepreneur friend.

Things feel great and I'm committed to continuing with the work and getting back up even when something goes wrong.  Let's do this!!

OK, that's me... now tell me about you - how is this Monday in your entrepreneur life?  Has your week started in the way you had hoped?  What are your top priorities this week?
