TWO FULL YEARS OF BEING THE BRILLIANT ENTREPRENEUR!!

WEEK 104 - POST 5

So here it is - two full years.  I'm about to enter my THIRD YEAR and I think I am finally ready to DO MORE.

The first year was about creating the website and design (and social media,etc) and being comfortable with writing, with sharing my writing and being seen.  And the ironic truth - most people don't even care - they aren't even going to read (sigh!).  I went to some networking events and got a bit (just a bit) comfortable about talking about what I was doing.

And I completed my first business income taxes!

The second year was about collaboration, unexpected opportunities to work with others and it was great as I also got paid to do one of these events.  They gave me a bit more social media cred and I also got a few mentions in local online media also.  Guest posts also started with both people I knew and website that I approached on my own.  This has been really exciting as I started connecting and sharing in a bigger way.  And I started investing in my self and connecting to an online business group.

I also went through three heavy months of getting foreign income tax done.

Boo-Yah!!

I'm at this cross-roads where I really need help in branding, getting head shots, social media strategy, marketing and promotion BUT I also need to create the products that I want people to find (and buy) when I get them to come visit.  I MUST invest in this.  I MUST make this the next big step.  I feel like I'm hitting this wall and I'm really starting to get frustrated.  So this is where I need to focus.  I need to get some products out there, offer them to people and then start promoting!!

Let's do it big for year three!!

So here are a couple of stats that mark the two year milestone also:

SOCIAL MEDIA:

End of 2017: Twitter: 258 & Instagram: 219 (more than double from last year - yay!)

Currently: Twitter: 294 & Instagram: 246 (and I haven't done much with IG lately)


BLOG POST MONTHLY VISITS:

Average in 2016 to March 2017 was around 1500 and then average after the April surge (for the next ten months) has been 2300 to 2400.  I wanted to be at 3000 by the end of the calendar year and while I didn't get there, it's really good to see it climbing steadily.  (And I had this surge in March to over 8000 but I'm not really sure why!)

Let's break through that 3000 milestone this summer!

And if I could get an average of 250 views for each post that would be a huge step forward.  Let's try for that this year.  xo
