small steps, start small, get that momentum going!

WEEK 103 - POST 4

I'm so happy with how yesterday went.  Everything felt lighter.  I focused on an easy thing - getting some social media scheduled so that I can get more readers for my blog posts.  Somehow I need to figure out a really great way to convert!

I think I'm doing well - getting more guest blog posts, so that more people know about me but I need to keep looking for better "ponds to swim in" and convert people to either my email updates or my newsletter.  I'm really happy with the feedback I'm getting from individuals but I need to find more TRUE readers.  (I still think it may be Linked In - that's where the 9 to 5ers are.)

Then I worked on a short survey to find out what my readers like the best (and want more of) and then I actually completed my second guest post for the national website.  (wow!)  I don't want to think about being "ahead".  I know that I have about three posts almost done (need photos) and I have to complete a fourth for this week.  I'm also hoping to put together one from our vacation that I can use later this year.

But it does feel great to be ahead - not only to be able to guest posts on top of my own weekly post, but to also clear the decks for some other things: newsletter, MP3 and hopefully an email drafted to start requesting "interviews" from people (to publish in the fall).  BUT I really need to think of a class so that I can show I'm trying to generate income.  Really I need to start thinking of a class so that I CAN GENERATE income.
